Hear From Former NCBA Meetings & Events Interns
What is a particularly memorable project you worked on?
The Winter Reboot Virtual Event. During my first week as an intern is when NCBA made the decision to reschedule CattleCon21 from February to August. In doing so, the Meetings & Events Team quickly jumped into action to create a virtual event that would take place during the original time period as CattleCon. And in turn, the three-day Winter Reboot Event was created. The Winter Reboot was memorable for a few reasons. It was my first virtual event I had ever helped plan, so the lessons I learned are endless. The event also showed me how quickly you can adapt and make a less than ideal situation better with a little creativity and a great team behind you.
What would you tell other students considering applying for a Meetings & Events Internship with NCBA?
The Meetings & Events Intern is a critical role on the team. When you start your internship, you’re more than just an intern - you truly become a part of our team. This is one internship where you can count on very little busy work, but instead meaningful projects that you take ownership of and then see come to life when you’re at the event or meeting.Emily Desormeaux
